1887년 설립된 예술 학교로 뉴욕시에서 유일하게 캠퍼스를 갖추고 있는 예술학교입니다. 메인 캠퍼스는 부르클린 덤보지역에 위치하고 미국 동북부 미술대학 중 가장 큰 규모입니다.

건축, 인테리어, 산업 디자인 전공이 매우 우수하며 특히 인테리어 전공은 미국에서 탑에 랭크되어 있습니다. 학비는 약 $45,000이지만 비교적 많은 장학금을 제공하는 학교로 포트폴리오가 우수할 경우 최대 반액까지 수혜 할 수 있습니다. 또한 한국의 비디오 아트 창시자인 고 백남준 작가에게 명예박사학위를 수여한 학교이기도 합니다.
